ChallengeRocket.com is the first Internet platform in Europe organizing challenges for IT specialists. Its purpose is to gather the most tallented and creative European programmers to support the implementation of the best IT ideas in business. On one hand, developers, by taking part in such challenges, have a chance to win big prizes and get noticed by recruiters and investors. On the other hand, companies organizing hackathons or online competitions are able to find new business solutions at a relatively low cost. This idea has been already a great success overseas and such brands like HP, Samsung or Coca-Cola are the best examples of its valuable impact. In many countries, however, this way of exploring potential of IT talents is still in its infancy. ChallengeRocket.com aspires to cover this white spots. Competitions usually take form of either hackathons or online challenges. Hackathons are intense programming marathons, typically lasting one or two days, in which a large number of software (and sometimes also hardware) developers get together and collaborate on new IT solutions according to a brief. The goal is to find the best and the most creative idea in the given timeframe. Opposed to hackathons, online challenges have longer timeframe for submitting solutions, as everything takes place within the platform. Since the distance is no longer an issue, people from all around the world can take part and there is no limit of participants, too.
