Established in 2005, Champions International Schools have played host to renowned, intellectual pacesetters and celebrated journalists such as Dan Agbese, Editor-In-Chief of NEWSWATCH Communications Limited, Oregun, Lagos; Ayodele Akinkuotu, Executive Editor, TELL Communications Limited, Plot 26, Ikeja, Lagos; Wola Adeyemo, editorial director, TELL, Dipo Onabanjo, Associate Editor, TELL, Ademola Ogunlowo, Editor, Broad Street Journal, BSJ, Salif Atojoko, Associate Editor, BSJ, Plot 26, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Lagos and Olufunke Fadugba, former Chairman, Lagos State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ. Our schools - Secondary, Primary and KG - are designed to appeal to parents and guardians with the desire to have the best education for their children and wards. Our teachers are carefully selected in keeping with the schools' mission statement which is to "teach and inspire young scholars to become intellectual champions." Champions International Schools have bias for the sciences because our great nation, Nigeria, currently needs more qualified doctors, pharmacists, engineers and encourage a wide range of academic interests within a disciplined framework. Built moderately on an acre of land with sufficient playgrounds, the school premises have been stimulating students for greater goals. Splendid flowers such as royal palm, wild rose, hunch acalypha, crotons, hibiscus and queen of the night are planted and regularly treated to provide our academic community with distinctive pleasant odour and promote freshness of breath. We aim to provide a secure setting in which positive imagination can be kindled, industry rewarded and academic potential developed. We also seek to instill in our students, spirit of the champions and to develop self-motivation and self-discipline as the basis for leadership at all levels. We prepare the children to be the best and even beat the best in all positive endeavours.
