Children in Scotland

Children in Scotland is the collective voice for children, young people and families in Scotland, and organisations and businesses that have a significant positive impact on children's lives. We are an influencing and membership organisation, comprised of representatives from the voluntary, public and private sectors. Our vision is that Scotland becomes a world leader in securing the wellbeing of every child and improving the quality of every childhood. We focus on Communication and Engagement; Influencing of Policy & Legislation; and Learning and Development, delivered through and extensive events and training programme. All our activities reflect members' priorities and our belief in children's rights. We work on members' behalf to facilitate engagement, partnership, learning and communication with and between policy-makers, practitioners and children and families, underpinned by the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC). We offer objective analysis and expertise informed by a wide-ranging research base relating to children, young people and families.
