The Children's House
The Children's House was founded in 1965 by Mary Los Baños as Waipahu Nursery School, located in the facility of Waipahu United Church of Christ. Two exceptional men-Harold Kometani of the Momilani Land Co. and Gilbert Hayashi, CPA-helped Mary Los Baños to expand her vision. With their help, the school made the move in 1967 to the Pearl City area as a significant private education institution for the children of Hawaii. The school opened its doors in Pearl City in 1968. In the school year 1999, The Children's House was gifted by its founder, Mary Los Baños to a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Trustees chosen for their expertise in business and education.
