Combustión Ingenieros S.A.S is a Colombian company with completely national capital. Since 1998, we have designed, developed and built all the machinery and equipment necessary for the production of holographic security labels used for the protection of products against counterfeit and authentication of brands. For the company, the top priority has been to create their own technology in order to be a completely independent and trustworthy company in the world of security. This goal has been only possible through the investment in R&D and facilities, allowing that all the steps involved in the fabrication process are carried out in-house, from the raw holographic master until the final holographic labels. Combustión Ingenieros S.A.S counts with a multidisciplinary team, which is highly trained in Administration, Physics, Optics, Electronics, Informatics and Mechanical Engineering. The R&D department is permanently dedicated as much to the research in applied optics and materials as to machinery and new processes. In 2004, Combustión Ingenieros S.A.S was awarded with the "Innova Prize for Entrepreneurial Technological Innovation", granted by the Colombian Government's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and by the Colombian Association for the Advancement of Science. Five years later, the company joined the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA). From 2009 to 2013, the company gathered all the experience in holography accumulated for the past 16 years and created a new machine able to compete with holographic origination systems of the highest technological requirements from around the globe. This invention was named "Firefly" and the first commercial unit was sold in 2014. In 2016, a new origination system was developed, fabricated and sold for large-format holography applications and packaging industry, this unit is called "Dragonfly".
