In 2011, CITIC Futures purchased Zhejiang Xinhua Futures. In 2014, CITIC Newedge Futures was merged into CITIC Futures. CITIC Futures provides services including commodity futures brokerage, financial futures brokerage, futures investment advisory, and funds sales. CITIC Futures is headquartered at Shenzhen and has 43 branches in large and medium-sized cities including Beijing, sh anghai, Guangzhou and Hangzhou etc. It also has 286 securities introducing channels throughout the whole country. CITIC Futures is a member of Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange and Shanghai International Energy Exchange It is also a full clearing member of China Financial Futures Exchange and a member of China Futures Association. The registered capital of CITIC Futures is more than RMB1.6 billion. In 2016, the company achieved an annual operating income of RMB 1.018 billion and net profit of RMB 376 million, at which time the peak value of customer equity was more than RMB 35.1 billion. The company is developing positively with trading volume, client assets, revenue and net profit all highly ranked within the futures industry. CITIC Futures sets up three wholly-owned subsidiaries, which are CITIC Securities Capital Management Company Limited, CITIC Wings Asset Management Company Limited and CITIC Futures International Company Limited, all of which cover the following services: risk management, asset management, and oversea derivatives brokerage services.
