CJ CheilJedang
CJ CheilJedang Corp. is a South Korean food and bioengineering company and a subsidiary of the CJ Group. When CJ CheilJedang was founded in 2007, it manufactured sugar but has expanded to include livestock feed, food ingredients, biochemicals, and pharmaceutical products. On September 20, 2016, CJ CheilJedang acquired from Yield10 Biosciences (formerly Metabolix) biopolymer intellectual property including certain equipment and inventory for $10 million. In connection with the asset sale, Yield10 Bioscience also entered into a sublease with CJ covering approximately one-third of the company's Woburn, Massachusetts facility.
