Classic Coil

Classic Coil

Classic Coil was founded in 1978 in Forestville CT by Ray Fasano. Back then our capabilities were just winding bobbins with 10 people. As business grew so did we and in 1984 Ray moved Classic Coil to a new facility in Plainville CT. The new facility allowed the company to expand operations to include winding, molding and coil assembly operations. Classic Coil stayed in Plainville until 1995 when a new 25,000 square foot facility was built in Bristol CT, which is where we stand today. The company was sold in 1997 but not the building, Ray still maintains contact with several of the customers he developed from the early years and is a regular visitor to the facility. In 2012, current ownership brought on a new management team consisting of David Molnar, CEO and Michael Orsini, VP of Operations. The company has since seen its greatest sales increase since the founding of the company. New technologies and new philosophies have continued the original excellence started in 1978. The company has invested greatly in equipment in all areas of manufacturing. New equipment; Molding (allow for 10 & 20 HP Encapsulated Stator Assemblies), Laser Marking Equipment, CNC Winding and Welding Equipment, and Testing Equipment. Infrastructure has also been greatly improved with floor layout changes and upgraded computer systems and ERP software. The philosophy of the new team is to continue to utilize new technologies and provide continued priority of customer support, especially where those customers are looking to be innovative and explore new products and new markets. We believe in tapping into the long-term knowledge of our employees, many of which have been with the company since its inception. That knowledge along with a desire to utilize modern techniques and equipment give us an competitive edge. Classic Coil Company is utilizing a continuous improvement philosophy, especially on the manufacturing floor to increase manufacturing efficiencies to drive down costs. We work with all of our suppliers to negotiate terms and contracts that benefit our end customers. In today's competitive marketplace we recognize that excellent quality and cost efficiency go hand in hand. Contact us today to help you with all of your electromagnetic coil and assembly needs.
