Clearbridge

Here at Clearbridge we don't see each other face to face as often as at other businesses which can present a huge problem. How can you inspire teamwork when your most used form of communication is a photo, mic and screen? Moreover, we communicate (often) almost exclusively over email and text messaging, which takes away the personal aspect of voice communication. On the other hand, Clearbridge has (quite) successfully managed to make ourselves a true team, and over the next few weeks we will tell you exactly how. Here are a few things we'd like you to ask yourselves while you are reading the next few entries. You absolutely need to ask yourselves these questions because we recognize that there isn't always a "one size fits all" model and you may have to adapt in order to bring your team mates together. Why do I want to inspire teamwork? What aspects of my organization need improved teamwork, and which aspects are better left individualized? Who is better suited to be a part of what team? Where will this inspiration take place? How will I reward effective teamwork? Why do I want to inspire teamwork? I'm sure the answer for this one is similar for every organization, but at Clearbridge we wanted to inspire teamwork to ensure efficiency and better quality of service for our clients. When we work together we are more likely to help each other out, and in the long run this aids our clients. Further, when we work together we are able to finish projects faster and the end product doesn't look like a group of projects, but rather one cohesive unit. When you have decided why teamwork is necessary to your organization it becomes easier to make project goals and to ensure projects are being completed on time. Although uniqueness is certainly a quality that will help your business to grow, a sense of team is also necessary. When your group is able to work together towards one easy to establish goal their uniqueness shines through in their portion of the work, but the overall quality of work and project will be evident to you. Want to know more about why you may want to inspire teamwork in your organization or why Clearbridge wanted to inspire teamwork in our team? Feel free to contact us directly or comment below. Otherwise, be sure to watch out for next week's installment where we answer the question of what parts of an organization need to be done by a team, and what aspects need to be individualized.
