In 1981, following a technology transfer agreement with École Polytechnique, Armand Patenaude leaves the university environment and founds the company Air-Ins Inc. in order to offer laboratory testing services to the whole window industry in the province of Quebec. In 1989, Armand Patenaude founds the company Patenaude-Trow Inc. with the mission of offering consulting and quality control services related to building envelope.
