Clipper specializes in new and used gearbox assembly and repair. We provide new gearbox builds, assembled in-house by our experienced manufacturing team. We repair gearboxes to a good as new standard, costing less than a replacement unit and reducing turnaround time. Gearbox repairs provide a cost effective way of bringing your fleet availability back to 100%. Clipper also specializes in wind turbine hub assembly. The hub is one of the vital components to the operation of the turbine, making it one of our top manufacturing priorities at Clipper. The advanced design of the Clipper turbine fleet requires experienced personnel to replace, repair and maintain such vital components. Matrix assembly and repair is another specialty of Clipper. The matrix is the primary component of the Generator Control Unit (GCU). The GCU accepts DC power from up-tower, converts the power to AC and stabilizes the power current for distribution to the grid, providing control of the generator(s) and gearbox to achieve these conditions. Clipper provides specialized kits comprised of various parts and hardware to make complete components for turbine builds. All kits are carefully constructed for easy assembly. Clipper's hardware kitting service takes the guess work out of turbine component assembly, making it easier for the customer to repair and replace parts as needed. With pitch motors from Clipper, energy providers can ensure that their turbine installations are more efficient and dependable. Clipper inspects, repairs, and tests all motors before delivering quality product to the end customer.
