Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), a City of Charlotte department, is ranked among the world’s top 10 busiest airports, welcomed more than 50 million passengers and handled 1,600 arrivals ...and departures daily in 2019 (pre-COVID-19 numbers). CLT is served by eight major carriers, 15 regional carriers and three foreign flag carriers with nonstop service to 177 destinations, including 35 international locations and three U.S. territories. Since the impacts of COVID-19, CLT is averaging more than 1,000 daily arrivals and departures and 2 million passengers a month.* An enterprise fund, the Airport is self-sustaining and does not collect tax dollars.
