We are focused on facilitating learning experiences for people who are interested in finding out how to "work with" those who are struggling to survive--from tribal people, to lowland farmers, to factory workers and others. In all our programs we ask our students to take seriously the above qoute, and to work out what this might mean for their own learning experience here, as well as what it will mean for them as they return home. Learning about community based integrated farming at the McKean Institute. We believe the best way to do this is through hands-on experiential learning where students can work alongside people from many different cultures and walks of life.
