COCISD is committed to providing a quality education to all students. We use a variety of resources to create meaningful instruction for students, including the TEKS Resource System and The Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative. These tools ensure quality through a process of continual review. The COCISD curriculum is vertically aligned, so that all teachers and administrators have a clear understanding of expectations for student achievement. Lessons and activities at all grade levels are based on the application and analysis levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, and include higher-order thinking skills. Teachers and administrators understand the role that technology plays in creating lessons that are engaging, relevant, and prepare students for their future. Students taught with the COCISD curriculum are prepared for standardized assessments, and are ready for the rigorous demands of life- whether pursuing college, armed forces, or full-time employment after graduation. It is our goal to graduate students who are confident and competent as they make choices to be productive members of our community, our state, and make a positive impact on the world.
