Colégio Farroupilha
This authorization allows the institution to apply Cambridge English Qualifications to its students and outside candidates and also to help with the development of preparations centres, application sites and Cambridge English Qualification in other cities throughout the state. Colégio Farroupilha is one of the most traditional basic education institutions in Rio Grande do Sul. It was founded in 1886 by Associação Beneficente e Educacional of 1858 - ABE 1858 (originally called German Beneficent Association), an entity created to help German immigrants and their descendants who were arriving in south of Brazil. Colégio Farroupilha assists students from Nursery to High School by having as its mission to educate to form competent, ethical, and global citizens, giving them conditions to develop their own abilities. The school is a leading reference regarding English learning by incorporating, in 2010, preparations to Cambridge English Qualification in the school curriculum.
