Collins House

Collins House Financial Services Pty Ltd (Collins House) was initially established in 1999, in a joint venture between one of Melbourne's oldest stockbroking firms EL&C Baillieu and Mr Dominic Alafaci. As Managing Director of Collins House, Dominic brings 20 years of experience in the financial planning industry, with board positions on the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and Financial Industry Complaints Service (FICS). He was awarded the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year Award in December 2000, and is the resident financial commentator on Melbourne radio station 3AW. On July 1, 2001, the accounting practice of JM Morris & Co and the legal practice of Tuckers Lawyers joined the Collins House Group. JM Morris & Co was established in 1965, with Maurice Molan joining the firm in 1973 after working for four years with the Australian Taxation Office in the investigations area. Maurice is the Head of the Accounting Division and a fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants Association. Tuckers Lawyers, formerly known as W Carew Tucker & Co, was established in 1983 when Chris Tucker joined the firm. Chris is the Principal of Collins House Legal and a member of the Law Institute of Victoria. Chris is also Special Counsel to the Australian Trade Commission and chairs the Disciplinary Tribunal of Australian Swimming.
