Colonial Coatings

Colonial Coatings Corporation was founded in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1982 with the vision to provide specialty coatings services to the aerospace industry. In 1990, the company grew to be a key supplier to Textron Lycoming, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft and their global sub-tiers and relocated to nearby Milford, Connecticut. Continued supplier commitment and corporate reinvestment has turned the business into one which now serves nearly all major prime aerospace contractors and the commercial business sector. Colonial Coatings is the prime source for magnesium surface sealing for the Sikorsky Blackhawk and Seahawk engine transmissions, for both O&R and OEM. Colonial is one of only four sources for HAE anodize in the United States. A new state of the art paint shop has more than doubled our previous capacity. Utilizing a custom engineered filtration system, we have achieved 95% air filtration.
