Established in October 2008 in Tokyo, Japan, COLOPL, Inc. develops and operates a diverse array of applications specifically for smartphone, as well as location-based game platform. Being the forerunner of O2O business, COLOPL bridges the virtual and real world by using its own services and collaborating with specialty retailers, train operators, lodging facilities, and a variety of other off-line businesses. In September 2011, COLOPL started developing applications for smartphones. Within a three-year period, COLOPL developed and launched 90 smartphone applications and provided a wide variety of games from casual to rich online games, including a number of hit titles such as Quiz RPG: The World of Mystic Wiz and White Cat Project. The smartphone business has become the company's core business.
