In 1955, Benjamin M. Greenblatt took control of Columbus Paper Company and managed its growth, which he expanded to include Ben-Mar Paper Company in Montgomery, Alabama and Mid -State Paper and Chemical Supply Company in Macon, Georgia. Today, Columbus Paper Company and its subsidiaries are led by Michael Greenblatt and Steven Greenblatt, manages the Macon branch, and Mrs. Ben (Gail) Greenblatt chairs the company's board. The third generation of Greenblatts run one of the few independent, family owned businesses of its type in the Southeast maintaining the highest level of service and integrity possible. The company takes pride in offering the newest products available and directing efforts to expanding the industrial product line to be both chemically and environmentally safe. The corporation is made up of an aggressive workforce that strives to find solutions to meet customers' constantly changing needs. Paper products distributed by Columbus Paper Company for home and personal use include bathroom tissue, roll towels, napkins and cups. The company also provides grocery bags, food service products, a wide selection of janitorial equipment and supplies for every application, medical items, laundry products and industrial packaging. The three companies that make up COPACO employ over 70 people and serve central Georgia, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle. Managerial experience totals more than 100 years.
