Cougars Baseball and Softball Club

Formed in 1992, the Cougars became Elmhurst, Illinois original travel boys baseball and girls fastpitch softball organization. As the strength and reach of the Cougar brand grew we expanded to welcome players from a number of cities in northern Illinois. The mission of Cougar Baseball & Softball is to prepare our children to compete at the high school level; to do so we provide a high quality, competitive, and fun environment. In addition, the Cougar program has among the best access to QUALITY FIELDS and a BATTING CAGE of ANY travel baseball or softball program in northern Illinois. The Cougars play when others are rained out. It is our philosophy, along with the skills of our board of directors, managers and coaches, which make us a real feeder organization to the baseball and softball programs at area high schools. The Cougars Baseball & Softball Club games are played both home and away against teams of similar skill and philosophy in the Chicago metropolitan area. In preparation for a forty to sixty game spring and summer schedule the Cougars begin practices in January. The spring/summer Cougars season runs from April to late July each year; after a short break many of our teams teams play in the Autumn. In addition to tournament play, most Cougars baseball and softball teams participate in leagues. Non-IHSA bound boys teams typically play in the West Suburban Baseball League (WSBL); whereas girls fastpitch softball teams select either the Southwest Suburban Softball League (SWS) or the Illinois Power League (IPL). Additionally, the Cougars make appearances in multiple tournaments within the Chicagoland area.
