Coventry Sports Trust
Coventry Sports Trust (CST) was formed in April 1999 as a 'not for profit' company and gained charitable status in August 2002. The Trust does not have individual shareholders but has the local community's best interest at heart and feeds profits back into the organisation to benefit the people of Coventry. The Trust plays a crucial role in the health and wellbeing of the people of Coventry by promoting healthy lifestyles through the delivery of health and fitness, play, relaxation and sporting activities to those who live, work or visit the City. Facilities managed by CST are Coventry Sports & Leisure Centre, Brandon Wood Golf Course, and Moat House Leisure and Neighbourhood Centre. Over 300 local people are employed at the Trust's five centres around the City. They know their individual areas, the facilities and the needs of the people. Their faces are known in the community as well as for running the facilities and this local connection makes the facilities the success that they are. Coventry Sports Trust's facilities generate approx 1.5 million customer visits every year. With memberships, pay & play and Passport to Leisure & Learning options at many of the sites, the Trust is able to offer healthy lifestyle options to all members of Coventry and Warwickshire's diverse communities.
