Crossroads Caring for Carers N.I primarily provide care in the home - domiciliary respite. We have been providing this service to carers in Northern Ireland since 1984. Crossroads provides in excess of 200,000 hours of respite care to more than 1200 families per year. This service is unique because it is specifically aimed at the carer. Crossroads is committed to providing a quality, flexible home care service Care attendants enable the carer to have a break by carrying out whatever tasks the carer would normally have done during that time. Carers can take a break from caring, in the knowledge that those they care for are receiving Crossroads quality care. A break from caring is invaluable in reducing the psychological and emotional stress faced by many carers. The Crossroads domiciliary respite care helps carers to continue providing the support they give to a sick, disabled or elderly person.
