Council Rock Coalition for Healthy Youth
The Council Rock Coalition for Healthy Youth is a group of concerned community members whose mission is to mobilize and engage all sectors of our communities to work together to reduce risk behaviors of our youth, helping them to reach their full potential in a healthy environment. We have been serving the Council Rock School District and the neighboring communities for over 12 years as an all-volunteer organization. CRCHY partners with many groups in the community to achieve this end: health care, schools, parents, volunteer organizations, youth organization such as SADD chapters, faith-based institutions, government, law enforcement, business, and the media. Both youth and parents are served by CRCHY initiatives. In 2009 and 2014, CRCHY was awarded federally-funded Drug Free Communities grants which provided the opportunity to expand programs and services, all of which support reducing risk behaviors and increasing protective factors to help our youth reach their full potential by making healthy decisions. The principal focus is on the prevention of ATOD abuse (alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs).
