The Practice and the director are registered with the Namibia Institute of Architects, the Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors and formerly registered with the South African Institute of Architects. Conrad Scheffer graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1991 after completing his thesis on a regional hospital, after which he joined the architectural firm Van der Merwe, Honiball & Swiegers who specialized in medical facilities. In 1993 Erhard Roxin Architects selected Conrad Scheffer to assist with the design and supervision of the new State Mental Health Centre, Windhoek. As a young qualified architect Conrad Scheffer in collaboration with Erhard Roxin Architects won a Merit award for this successful project. In 1995 Conrad Scheffer took over the management for Bob Mould Architects, Walvis Bay. Conrad was later offered an associate partnership, which was accepted. In 1999 Conrad, in collaboration with Jaco Booyens, won a merit award for the Namport Container Entrance building and in 2008 an award of excellence for the guest house Ietsiemeer in Henties Bay. In 2013 Conrad became the sole proprietor to Bob Mould & Sheffer Architects and in 2018 the company's name was changed to Conrad Scheffer Architects.
