Collection Services of Athens
Prior to June 1, 1997, CSA operated as the Collection Service Division of the Credit Bureau of Athens, which was founded in 1937 by Mr. G. Fain Slaughter, Sr. Mr. Slaughter was born and raised in Athens, and graduated from the University of Georgia. Mr. Slaughter helped establish several bureaus, including the Credit Bureau of Gainesville. Mr. Slaughter retired in 1980 at the age of 76, his sons, William N. Slaughter began working with the company in 1963 and is currently president of the company, G. Fain Slaughter Jr. began working in the business in 1957 and is currently the Vice President of the Company. Continuing the traditions of The Classic City, in 2003 Collection Services of Athens relocated from its Old West Broad Street Location to the newly remodeled Coble Dairy Building. A location known to most Athenians as the "Giant Milk Carton". A landmark that remains today, as a token of our commitment of building a stronger community by never forgetting our core values. Collection Services of Athens currently staffs over 40 employees with extensive knowledge in the collections industry.
