CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation

Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) is a premier national laboratory dedicated to research, design and development of scientific and industrial instruments. Initialy located at New Delhi , CSIO moved in 1962 to Chandigarh-the city beautiful to the north west of Delhi. CSIO campus(spread over an area of approximately 120 acres) comprises of office building (R&D laboratories, Indo-Swiss Training Center etc.) and a housing colony . Another four story block was added in 1976 for R&D divisions and library etc. The Library shifted to a new building a part of which has been specifically designed for the library.
