Culture Vultures Fez

Culture Vultures is an art and cultural organization that feasts on the bountiful expressions of art that are a part of everyday life in Morocco. This artist-run venture is based in the Northern Moroccan market town of Sefrou. Nestled in a small, ancient medina at the base of the Middle Atlas mountains and just outside the Imperial city of Fes, Culture Vultures is close to modernity and yet steeped in the rich and fascinating history of Morocco. Founded in 2009, Culture Vultures' mission is to celebrate and facilitate local, national and international arts and offer immersive cross-cultural experiences. Culture Vultures is committed to community involvement and has built up a vast network of international and Moroccan artists and artisans to produce a wide range of socially impactful programs and socially meaningful activities with art at its core. Our grassroots arts-focused projects, events, residency programs and tours are designed to connect the global with the local through a wide range artist expressions including, but not limited to: Hosting and facilitating local, national and international artists and their projects. Connecting traditional regional artisan-ship with visitors from around the world. Kick start and Run Sefrou Museum of Multiculturalism. Presenting Pop Up Gallery spaces featuring local art in the Medinas of Fez and Sefrou. Organizing community service projects such as painting the Medina and Art for the local hospital. Bringing international student groups together with the local community and facilitating immersive and intercultural dialogue. Liz Kueneke- Urban Fabric - Fez Culture Vultures is headed by British visual artist Jess Stephens and includes a small, local, broad-minded team and a wide range of collaborators, including; Sacred Music Festival - Fes Saiss, American Language Centre-Fes, French institute-Fes, Café ClockFes, Sefrou Baladia, Café Tissardmine-Rissani.
