CVTI SR

The Slovak Centre for Scientific & Technical Information (SCSTI) also known as CVTI in Slovakia, is a specialized, public, research library. The organization contributes to the development of science, technology and education by building and managing a specialized library and information collections as well as the provision of library and information services to professionals. The SCSTI is directly managed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. The institution, founded in 1938 and for most of its 70-year history known as the Slovak Technical Library. The SCSTI mission is to contribute to the promotion of science and technology in Slovakia, particularly through the establishment and operation of complex information systems for research and development. It is implementing projects co-financed by EU Structural Funds through the Operational Programme Research and Development, which serve mainly to provide comprehensive support services to the scientific community in Slovakia.
