Coachella Valley Water District
Founded in 1918 and headquartered in Coachella, California, Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) is an independent special district formed specifically to protect and conserve local water sources in the Coachella Valley. The District has grown into a multifaceted agency that delivers irrigation and domestic (drinking) water, collects and recycles wastewater, provides regional stormwater protection, replenishes the groundwater basin and promotes water conservation.
