Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department

The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to unincorporated areas of Harris County, Texas. The department primarily serves the communities of Cypress and Fairbanks which are collectively known as Cypress-Fairbanks or Cy-Fair. The Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department got its beginnings in the late 1950s after a home was destroyed by fire due to a 20-minute response time by the first fire engine.
