Dalkeith House is a spacious Georgian manse in the heart of the village with everything you need on your doorstep. The village of Newcastleton boasts a butcher, baker, corner shop and convenience store as well as 2 restaurants, 1 pub and 2 cafes. An activity centre, forests teeming with wildlife and trails, stunning scenery and welcoming locals. We are dog friendly with Wi-Fi throughout. It is the perfect location for a get together for a special occasion, a celebration, a weekend break or longer. A beautiful spacious house sleeping ten people in five double bedrooms, located in the tranquil surroundings of the Liddesdale valley and bordering on Northumberland. Newcastleton is just 20 miles from M6/M74 making it easily accessible from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham. Very impressed by the level of detail, the comfortable quiet room by the fire, the hi tech entertainment room, the lovely bathrooms, bedrooms,stylish kitchen, practical breakfast room and the dining room. Adults and kids loved the ability to get together but be separate! And the drizzle cake was VERY nice! Had a Hamilton family gathering here for 8, with our 2 dogs. Fabulous house, everything you need and more. Luxury, comfort and loads of space for everyone. Great meal from the Local restaurant served at the house. Local people were all very friendly and helpful. The home made cake from Barbara was a lovely start to a great week here, and the butchers steak pie is second to none. Thanks to all.
