Davos
The Davos Course for gastrointestinal surgery offers a varied and manifold programme of scientific sessions and practical exercises to surgeons in training. The aim of this course is to foster each participant's knowledge and to develop and improve the individual practical skills in safe standard surgical techniques, both in conventional and laparoscopic surgery. Based in Davos, Switzerland, the Davos Course for gastrointestinal surgery exists for more than 30 years and has become an essential part in the surgeon's training program and is recognised by most European surgical societies to meet the criteria of the surgical training opportunities. The Davos Course welcomes each year around 250 young surgeons from more than 10 European countries and has taught "one safe way" of surgery to more than 6000 surgeons all over Europe since its foundation.
