Dickson County School District

Dickson County serves more than 8,600 students in grades PreK through 12th grade. There are 15 sites including 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 high schools, 1 alternative school and 1adult high school. With almost 1000 employees, the Dickson County School System is the largest employer in Dickson County. The mission of our school system is to provide an enriched environment in which all children can learn and succeed. We want to provide all children with an education that will successfully prepare them to enter college or the work force. We hope to set the stage for a life full of learning, earning and happiness. My goals during my term are that our students be as safe as possible, to set a high standard for conduct for students and faculty, and that academics will be a top priority. I also want our schools to provide many after school activities for our students to get involved with. I believe that students that participate in school sponsored activities perform better in school and develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime. We hope our website will give you valuable information about our schools, the talents of our students, our outstanding school and system staffs, and also help keep you informed about important events of the school year.
