A symbol of our commitment is our membership of Visit Scotland's Green Tourism Business Scheme. This scheme provides independent accreditation and encouragement for tourism businesses to reduce the environmental impact of their activities. By encouraging sustainable practices it ensures the continued enjoyment of the environment of Scotland for future generations. Through the membership of the Green Tourism Business Scheme we have committed to: Adhering to good environmental practices in all our business activities Ensuring that the business meets the minimum requirements set by environmental law and fulfils its legal Duty of Care requirements for waste disposal Achieves sustainable environmental improvement Continuously reducing polluting activities We are proud to have been recently accredited with a GOLD award for excellence in environmental practice We have now entered into partnership with Fife Council and a recycling centre will be opening soon in the Deep Sea World carpark. This will be open to the public during business hours only and will have recycling bins for plastic bottles, glass bottles - clear glass, brown glass and green glass as well as a recycling bin for aluminium. Within Deep Sea World we will have bins for cardboard and also a can crusher for public use within our café. We are happy to have entered into this new collaboration with Fife Council and I am sure that the new recycle centre will prove to be an invaluable asset to all within the North Queensferry community.
