Descenza Diamonds

DeScenza Diamonds has been located in the Downtown Crossing shopping district of Boston, Massachusetts since 1915. The building is today marked by a large marquee stating "The Diamond & Jewelers Building at 387 Washington Street" and by a bronze mural in the lobby depicting the history of a diamond, commissioned by DeScenza Diamonds. But take one of the elevators to the sixth floor, and the doors will open to something spectacular---10,000 square feet of floor space overflowing with a treasure trove of riches. DeScenza Diamonds' success lies in our commitment to offering high-quality jewelry and other luxury items at a savings of 25 to 40 percent. Buying diamonds and gems direct and crafting much of our jewelry in the store, enables us to keep our prices remarkably low without sacrificing quality. "We cut out the middle man," explains Diane DeScenza Herth, marketing director and granddaughter of the founder. It was a concept that Alfred F. DeScenza originated in 1915 and successive generations have been expanding upon ever since. Our tradition of quality and service at outstanding savings is thriving today, with branch stores located in Framingham, Hingham, and Peabody Massachusetts. Founder Alfred F. DeScenza would certainly be pleased to see his family's continued involvement in the business. Among our 120 employees are the founder's son, Fred DeScenza and son-in-law, Hugh MacIsaac, 10 of their children and an emerging fourth generation.
