DeTeWe was established in Berlin, Germany in 1887, around the invention of the telephone. DeTeWe started its UK operations in 1986 following its acquisition of Shipton Communications, which was founded in 1890. Today, as a systems integrator, DeTeWe is a significant force in the UK's communication market serving thousands of customers. DeTeWe is a subsidiary of ,6.2B Röchling KG, a diversified concern with global operations employing around 40,000 people worldwide.
