Development Voyage develops a "sustainable regional food cycles" responding to the needs of border regions by connecting local farming/producing communities with customers providing healthy organic, fair trade and local products at reasonable prices. For us it is very important to link profit objectives with social impact opportunities. To this end, we believe in a series of key values, which guide our philosophy and management approach. The social impact manifest in the education and professional training of young social entrepreneurs in starting up their own regional food businesses - sustainable farms, agritourism, grocery shops, food processing, logistics, warehouse and take away. We will constantly strive to reduce our environmental impact. In the closed food chain we minimize wastage by better handling of products form farm to plate, by in-house food processing and by composting. Our every business activities are connected to the social values and executed in extensive cooperation. We believe in associated economics by building a cooperative with network partners, consumers and young social entrepreneurs. It forms the base for synergies, sharing resources and to develop the sustainable food network. We work with trusted producer and suppliers with whom we develop mutually sustaining partnerships. We create a working fair trade environment that values every one's contribution is welcoming, safe and non-judgmental. Our intent is to develop sustainable regional food networks in Nepal and other border regions of the world in mutual collaborations. Therefore, we are open to like-minded partnerships and cooperations.
