Defense Finance and Accounting Service

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service Agency is a Federal Entity that provides accounting and financial functions throughout the Department of Defense. They also pay all the Department of Defense military and civilian personnel, retirees and annuitants as well as major DOD contractors and vendors. DFAS also supports customers outside the DOD in support of electronic government initiatives.
