Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) has produced this Business Plan to set out our mission and values, alongside our objectives, plans and resources for the future. Referred to as The Plan hereafter, it takes account of the Scottish Housing Regulator's 2015 Recommended Practice on business planning. The intention of The Plan is to show what DGHP is doing to achieve and maintain our stated goal of being "the best RSL in Scotland". It builds on DGHP's success in service improvement, investment delivery and regeneration. Our key achievements to date have included: Investing millions in our tenants' homes Building hundreds of new homes across Dumfries and Galloway, as part of mixed tenure regeneration and development programmes Achieving the Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) Attracting high levels of investment to the region, benefiting Dumfries and Galloway's economy as well as the tenants and local communities we serve Incorporating innovative energy efficiency solutions in our investment and development work, to reduce fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions Providing housing support services to assist our more vulnerable tenants Taking a sector-leading approach to community involvement in DGHP's activities Continuously improving our housing services, resulting in high levels of tenant satisfaction in our large-scale tenant surveys The Plan sets out a programme for change and improvement with priorities. DGHP will strive to: Continue to support our tenants and protect DGHP's future income streams, as Universal Credit and other Welfare Reform measures are rolled out at local level Begin a new programme of work to bring about long-term changes to our tenant communication and customer care Improve access to our housing and the sustainability of new tenancies Consider strategic options for DGHP's lower demand housing Improve customer satisfaction with the repairs service and re-let standards for empty houses, alongside a number of repairs pilot projects in rural areas.
