The Diakonissenkrankenhaus Mannheim
It emerged from the Diakonissenkrankenhaus and the Heinrich-Lanz-Krankenhaus in 1999. Our institution is able to combine the traditions of both of these former hospitals. After the successful reconstruction and construction of our hospital buildings in 2008, our patients and their relatives are now provided with all the medical, nursing and other additional services at the location in Speyerer Straße which can be expected from a modern hospital. The Diakonissenkrankenhaus Mannheim is a hospital which provides basic and customary care and which has 470 acute care beds in 14 specialist departments, of which 12 are primary departments and 2 resident departments with a variety of focus areas and specializations. Additionally there are 66 beds available in the Clinic for Geriatric Rehabilitation and 12 places in out-patient geriatric rehabilitation. The Diakoniekrankenhaus is supported by the trusteeships of the "Diakonissen Speyer-Mannheim" and the "Heinrich-Lanz-Stiftung". It is the academic teaching hospital of the medical faculty Mannheim at the University of Heidelberg and a member of the "Diakonisches Werk der Evangelischen Landeskirche" in Baden.
