Diamond Cement Ltd is a large cement manufacturing plant was founded in the year of 1994 in Chittagong on the opposite side of Chittagong Port on bank of rever Karnafully. The contruction of the plant facilities commenced in the year of 1994 and startes its trial production in March, 1998. In the month of May 1998, Diamond Cement Ltd started its commercial production and marketing in all over Bangladesh. By this time, Diamond Cement Ltd became one of the leading quality cement manufacturers in Bangladesh. The plant complex comprises with 28 acres of land equipped with state of the art machinery and built with a cost of 100% local investment of more than Tk.500.00 crores, which made this plant one of the most modern cement menufacturing units in Bangladesh. The Diamond Cement plant is having its own jetty facilities over the rever Karnafully and is equipped with overhead loading/unloading crane for the transportation of cement/clinker through automated conveyor belts. The daily production capacity of Diamond Cement Ltd is 3700 m.tons. The producyion program is currently dedicated to produce high international level quality cement.
