DogCentric
DogCentric is proud to be the official dog walking service for the Humane Rescue Alliance. We have provided dog walking services for the shelter since 2006. When the shelter's 2006 renovation increased animal housing capacity by 66%, the Alliance realized they would need additional help to properly care for the dogs at the shelter. The dogs are always eager for their morning walk as the Alliance's staff arrives each morning. At this time, however, the staff is confronted with multiple duties including feeding, medicating, and cleaning up after the animals in their care. Without the resources to hire additional staff, HRA turned to DogCentric for support. From 8-10am each weekday morning two DogCentric walkers take up to 150 dogs outside for their first potty break of the day, providing them with attention and exercise. By reducing the burden on Alliance staff, DogCentric helps the shelter save critical funds and resources that can be dedicated to saving more homeless pets. DogCentric also provided relief breaks to the four-legged attendees at the Alliance's Rescue Me Gala, an annual dog-friendly, black tie fundraiser held at Union Station in Washington D.C. DogCentric is proud to be selected for this role as the Alliance's dog walking partner. As animal rescue advocates, we are thrilled to give back to the homeless dogs housed at Alliance. It is so rewarding for us to be able to help them gain confidence and learn to trust people. We believe in the Alliance's forward-thinking approach to shelter care, and we're excited to be a part of these dogs' lives as they wait for their permanent homes. DogCentric's walkers are even lucky enough to see some of those homeless dogs again in their new homes and continue to build a relationship as their dog walkers at their new homes.
