Doggarts

The business expanded to include a coffin and shroud manufacturing facility which employed many local people in its factory. William's grandson's, Henry and Billy Doggart, followed in their grandfather's footsteps and ran the business for many years. "Both Henry and Billy were responsible for pioneering embalming throughout Northern Ireland and indeed Billy was still involved in the business until only recently." Today, the coffin and shroud manufacturing facility has ceased but Doggarts of Newtownards remain as a Funeral Service. Doggarts of Newtownards recently refurbished their new premises at Regent House, a landmark building in Newtownards, allowing us to offer the highest levels of professional care and support for families in their time of need. "Our motto 'Caring is at the Heart of Our Approach' is embedded in everything we do." Doggarts of Newtownards has an ethos of 'putting something back into the community'.
