Co-owned by Gary Donaldson and Ken Nell, these directors are supported by a senior management team of five, a production team of 50, three workshop staff and a three person administration team. DCL production teams work in small specialist crews to deliver the most up to date knowledge and skills with maximum efficiency and the best possible results. The company currently owns and operates 19 excavators from 1.5 tonne to 20 tonne and a truck fleet of 11. The company also holds considerable plant and machinery including compaction tools, traffic management set-ups and a range of test gear available for hire. DCL's purpose-built yard in Stoke, Nelson houses the firm's head office and workshops and is the base for the majority of DCL operations. Since 2012, the company has also leased office space in Christchurch where eight full-time DCL staff are taking part in the city's rebuild.
