Dovas Law
Dovas Law was founded in 2006 as a Professional Corporation with a focus on intellectual property matters. We work to meet the needs of domestic and foreign clients, including corporations, law firms and individuals, who seek to protect ideas and innovation in varying fields and technologies. A large portion of our practice involves counseling clients regarding domestic and international intellectual property rights, matters of infringement, and due diligence in M&A transactions, as well as negotiating and drafting IP-related contracts, service agreements, licenses, and settlement agreements. Our firm has prosecuted patent applications involving a broad range of disciplines, for example telecommunications, software, data security, mechanics, fluid dynamics, electro-mechanics, medical technology, and electronics. We provide full service in trademark and copyright matters including prosecution of new applications and defending client rights. Dovas Law endeavors to stay involved in the tech and legal communities. Accessibility is important to the way we run our firm. We frequently provide intellectual property themed lectures and presentations to companies, inventors, and attorneys interested in intellectual property rights. Firm founder and president Dimitri Dovas received his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Camden School of Law and his Bachelor of Science, with honors, from Rutgers College of Engineering. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and licensed to prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to entering the field of law, Mr. Dovas was employed in the transportation and defense consulting industries as an analysis and design engineer.
