DPC has a strong commitment to human rights and is committed to the inclusion and engagement of people with disability, both in our workplace and in the Victorian community. The development of this Disability Action Plan (DAP) is a key element in advancing this commitment. As an organisation, DPC is committed to attracting and retaining a skilled and talented workforce and that means attracting employees from the entire talent pool, including people with disability. Valuing diversity is a key element of the Public Administration Act 2004, the VPS code of conduct and our own DPC values. This Disability Action Plan will enable DPC to support and recruit employees, ensure an inclusive culture across the department, and further support and engage DPC employees. This in turn will help DPC achieve our corporate objectives as outlined in DPC's Corporate Plan 2011-2014.
