Diversified Scientific, Inc., was formed in 1995 to manufacture and market products based on research conducted at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's (UAB) Center for Biophysical Sciences and Engineering. With a mission to successfully commercialize our technology and to create sustainable growth, the company now provides a comprehensive Intelligent Crystallization PlatformÔ with trademark technologies including CrystalScoreÔ (U.S. Patent 6,529,612), ScreenProÔ and VaporProÔ (U.S. Patent 6,406,903). Our Latest technology, HuBiogelÔ is a novel human-based biomatrix in a revolutionary culture media for observing cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Founded by Tom Gester and Larry DeLucas, the company is a 1999 graduate of the Office for the Advancement of Developing Industries Technology Center, UAB's high-tech business incubator. DSI has received numerous grants from both the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that contribute to the development of DSI's cutting-edge products. DSI's offices and laboratories are located in the heart of Southside in Birmingham, Alabama, USA, a vibrant, eclectic area within close proximity to services, restaurants and cultural events, as well as our scientific consultants at UAB.
