Dudra East
Ghulam Hussain has studied in Bochum and knows his way around the needs of the European market and how to skilfully implement trends in the direction of leather goods. The native Pakistani has not only used the name of his home village for the company; the entire leather goods production hause is also located in Dudra East (Pakistan). He began in 1984 with the first leather goods imported from Pakistan and it is now a production facility with up to 300 employees, from which the entire village lives. Modern machines and a well-founded training of the bag makers in their own company guarantee a good standard of living in the region, which tends to be poor. Part of the proceeds also goes directly to educational projects in Pakistan. Ghulam Hussain strongly believes in "sustainability" in the sense of responsibility for people and nature. He skilfully bridges the gap between Pakistani tradition and the European market economy. At Dudra East, ecology and sustainability go hand in hand with an exclusive demand for quality and design. He use only Pure leather, finest Kashmir calf on the outside, goat suede on the inside, no cardboard, no plastic. Large pieces of leather without unnecessary seams - the quality of the leather goods is outstanding thanks to the excellent cowhide leather and the 80 % handmade production. Whether business bag for women or men, outdoor backpack or noble shopper - the brand Dudra East has today its firm place in leading European leather goods and trekking shops. In April 2011, the first Dudra East store opened in the East Frisian city of Norden. Cashmere calf leather like velvet and silk
