Duxton Hotel Saigon
Duxton Hotels International is owned by Low Keng Huat (Singapore) Ltd, a long established participant in the Singapore construction industry. The Duxton Hotel name originated from a 19th century house built in colonial Singapore. Dr Montgomerie, an English surgeon, lived in 'Duxton House' where he cultivated his large nutmeg plantation on what is now known as Duxton Road. This later became the site of the first Duxton Hotel and represented the group's entry into the hotel development and management industry. Duxton Hotels International has properties in Perth, Australia and Ho Chi Minh City Saigon, Vietnam. While each hotel offers its own unique style and surrounds, they offer superior accommodation to suit the requirements of both the business and leisure traveller. The Duxton Hotel Saigon became the first new built hotel in Vietnam for 20 years, and the Duxton Hotel Perth was a full conversion from the old Taxation Department building into a luxury hotel when it opened its doors in October 1996. The Lion featured in the Duxton Logo represents the pride in service to guests and the commitment to ensuring each stay is both comfortable and enjoyable.
