Dzongkha Development Commission

The most widely used computing system is the Unicode based system developed and delivered by this office. It works well on all recent versions of the MS Windows, Linux& Apple OSX operating systems, on the internet and in applications such as Open Office, Microsoft Office and Abode's InDesign. The office has also developed support for Dzongkha on mobile computing and communication devices. The DDC further encourages improving the Dzongkha literary resources and documentation of the other 18 indigenous languages native to Bhutan. Many events such as essay competitions, book awards, debates, quiz, spelling contest and media programs are supported to enhance the use of Dzongkha. Divisions
